6th June 2004: Ceremonies commemorating of the Normandy landings. ASCO provided simultaneous interpreting during the ceremonies commemorating of the Normandy landings, with live broadcast translation of the speeches of the German Chancellor, Gerhardt Schroder and Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

Simultaneous interpreting is a process whereby conference participants are able to listen in their own language to a translation of a speech delivered by a speaker who has the advantage of being able to express himself in the comfort and ease of his own mother tongue.
